Comments
Wet surface snow from below treeline to ~1100 m. Higher elevations had a harder, wind affected crust. Snow line is quite high on S aspects ~800m, so the approach was quite the bootpack (hiking shoes recommended!!). We saw evidence of loose wet debris starting from rocky terrain on steeper slopes. It was likely a few days old. Since the snow was solid, our main concern was slipping on harder crusts above cliffs.
