Lake not fully frozen so struck mainly to the summer trail
Canyon has some areas of open water which are avoidable
Moraines above canyon have thin snow coverage
Glacier snow depth was on average 130cm and filled in. The higher we went up the glacier the more wind affected the snow was. The lower slopes skied well.
