Chester - Headwall Traverse

Went for a long walk up Chester, then through the Fortress-Chester col and back through Headwall Valley/Headwall Lakes. Nothing new to report, it was often thin, faceted snow mostly with some scattered areas of wind crust. Heading up the col was variable and the top on the North aspect was scoured. The south of the col into Headwall skied well with wind deposited 4F snow, but there was surely sharks lurking. No avy obs, no instabilities. Beautiful day with great scenery.
