Comments
Toured up part of Healy creek then took Marcus’s Y drainage adventure. Popped out of treeline and snow was still unconsolidated. Quickly became more dense and wind pressed just a bit higher up.
Profile at 2314m on E aspect had HS of 85cm on a 35 deg wind loaded slope. Fist to 4F to 1F above the 8cm Cr. Facetting above for about 2cm and below Cr to ground.
CT12 SP down 38cm - ECTP12 down 38cm
We test skied a test slope to 35 deg that was wind loaded with a convex role a few times with no results. We dig get a few minor shooting cracks on the uptrack though at the same interface.
Winds were mod with some strong gusts in the alpine - lots of wind transport and significant cornice growth on the ridge to Healy center peak.
