Comments
Was looking to drop in above tree chutes, dug a pit on West aspect, 22deg slope, 250 cm snowpack, 15 to 20 cm fresh snow, compression test with sudden failure down 35cm on a crust within the dense slab. The slab was over 1m thk. Three tests in same pit with same result within first 3 to 5 taps. Backed down and rode closer to trees around 3rd knoll.
