Comments

Spent four days skiing at Jumbo pass. Skied east-south-west aspects between 1900-2500m up to 50°. Found no signs of instability anywhere. It was open season with nothing off the menu. Had good visibility of the surrounding backcountry and couldn't spot any new avalanches. Best skiing was treeline and down, fast near surface facets above a supportive midpack. There was surface hoar growing on top but it had already been knocked flat. Also a thin sun crust on steep south aspects, alpine and treeline.
