Bonney Moraines / Ross Southeast

Roughly 15 cm of snow blown over Thursday's tracks at the trailhead. Felt more like 10cm in sheltered locations. 20-30cm ski penetration in the Bonney Moraines with nearly no wind affect on the surface. Few buried windslabs mostly limited to moraine crests. Skied down from the highest moraine and down to valley bottom. Few faceshots in more loaded features. Then skinned up the Ross SE aspect to 1900m. Some sun crust was felt on the surface on the southeast and south aspects. With the aspect figured out on the way up, the east aspect ended up skiing so well that we went for a second lap in the exact same feature. Solar triggered activity was mostly limited to tree bombing but a fresh seemingly loose dry SZ 1.5 was observed lookers left of the Ross Pillows on the ski out and seemed to have been triggered near ridge top from a cornice fall or a tree bombs, couldn't tell for sure. Saw one group of three in the Bonney Moraines/Glacier area and one group of four in the Lilly Glacier/Rampart West slopes area. The Ross Pillows were pretty much skied out by the time we skied out.
