there was some pretty high winds that blew down all the snow on NW aspect (the resort has no snow on the lower mountain trees anymore)
Where it’s sheltered there is still plenty of snow hanging on trees above 1800mtr ish.
Weird thing. Not a windslab in sight. There was however a very small rain crust everywhere the snow was not sheltered. So I’m guessing the rain came in, froze rather quickly, and then the winds came in howling on the crust preserving the snow below.
