Comments
This is my first time getting out un guided and I have limited knowledge so please take this in consideration when reading this less than technically eloquent report.
We started the day in the thick trees and made our way up on what seemed to be a supportive snow pack. There was a nice new layer of snow on top. When poking my pole to the earth, I could feel 3 layers: soft/crust/soft. Overall cover was about 40cm.
When we go to the point where it was actually time to ski down, I realised I had a binding malfunctions and could not fix it to ski down so we had to skin back to the parking lot.
All and all a good first experience in a beautiful area, I'll be better proteases y next time.
