Comments

Good storm riding conditions up Thar, we saw multiple groups throughout the day and most people were not worried about the persistent weak layer in the bulletin due to the 10 degree drop in temperature over the last 12 hours.. We skinned up to around 1650m dug a quick pit on the side of an open slope found an ECT 15 sudden pop down 60cm on a crust. Tried to confirm results in another pit same slope 200m across. No results. We descended from there to avoid the steep terrain. Very nice turns, the storm snow was sluffing as expected. Went up for another lap keeping to the trees, isolated slopes and lower angles. We got up to 1650m again and noted a storm slab slide across the skin track with a group on the other side with a lost ski. We checked in with them to make sure everyone was ok and rode our last lap.
