Comments

Skied Macdonald West Shoulder on Monday 25th. The uptrack was in a good state and the tour up was straight forward.

The skiing up top in the alpine was fantastic with nice cold, deep powder. We skied from around 2200. The lower we got the heavier the snow became and ended up being pretty tricky snow to ski in.

We did trigger a very minor, barely even size 1 slide in a steep and narrow section. It didn’t pose much danger to us but worth mentioning.

From around 1700 the coverage got a little sparse with plenty of alders sticking through and we had to do some serious bushwhacking. A lot of deep holes and open tree wells around so worth being extra careful in the trees. NRC gully still needs a lot more snow.

Overall still needs to fill in more, but was still a very fun day out. We were also the only people up there today; maybe for a reason!
