Comments
Busy day (lots of skiers) at Hummingbird Pass/Evening Ridge. We dug a pit at 1840m on the Northeast aspect of Evening Ridge, and noted a hard failure (CT25) when we did a compression test, on the early December rain crust/surface hoar persistent layer. We did not see any signs of recent avalanches in the last 48 hours. Some minor cracking was noted on a steeper (>30 degree) Southwest slope on the shoulder of White Queen.
