Comments

Report from two people skiing up the moraines on the ascent of Jimmy Simpson, triggered a surprising avalanche on top of a moraine. 20-40 cm deep (max 70 cm) by 120m wide on a 25-30 degree slope - did not run far, the slope slumped and ran a short distance. Past week's storm snow settled into a slab over sun crust. Partial burial, no injuries - party dug out and moved on.
