Comments
Got out for a sunrise morning tour to poke around the alpine at Hankin and beat the crowds (the NW is getting busy!).
No new avalanche activity in the last 24 hours. A recent(ish) windslab popped on cardiac couloir.
many windslabs spread throughout the alpine on most easterly slopes.
NW aspect slopes have plenty of cross loading in gullies and micro terrain features. Testing some cross loaded micro terrain features we had some Sudden planar propagation from ski stomps when undercut by a skin track.
It was a beauty day above the sea of clouds!
