Black Prince

We found about 10-20 cm of old, dried-out powder on top of a rapidly decomposing mid pack with basal facets. Total HS was less than 60cm. Ski penetration was variable, ranging from 10-50 cm, and sometimes almost to ground. This snowpack is barely supporting a skier's weight, and will not do so much longer. Old tracks and partially buried hazards abound. Essentially, there is not enough snow to ski in this area.
