Old avalanche debri with 2-8 cm recent storm snow on top, seen on approach to climb. Evidence of 2 avalanches, since sidewall of earlier avalanche debri was carved away by 2nd avalanche. Above P1, went 60m on rambling terrain covered by avi debri, unable to find P2 anchor. Turned back, did not see P4.
