Comments

Old windslab heated up by the morning sun by 11:30am on a SE slope at 2400m.

Thin windslab on suncrust was heating up (moist snow -for real) in the sun on steep slope and wanting to propagate where unsupported.

We were boot packing narrow ridge and trying to avoid the deeper lee areas on our climbers right. Woops! Pretty exciting moment with fracture line at our feet and large powder cloud as the sidewall of a gully feature released.

Above 2500m we did not observe any further buried suncrusts or tickle any more windslabs.
