Cold log cabin

Riding quality was:

OK

Arrived at dawn to -28, clear day, no wind until alpine. Snow pack shows a solid sheet of ice about 4cm deep. This is where compression test shifted. In alpine on any wind affected areas it was just sheet ice. It sounded like walking on sheet of plywood. Hollow sounds and difficult to get up (have no edges). Wind was fucking freezing and blowing directly over this area, lasted about 40 minutes heading up but tricky to get traction on ice and my face was frozen even with full face mask.

Riding was decent in the gullys where the snow was blown into.

Got back down at 12pm and temp was -16, big temp change in 3 hours.
