Comments
Spent Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th in the Marriott Basin area. Saturday we skied mainly north facing slopes around the hut (like Honey Bronzed and Very Desireable) where snow quality was best with approx 10cm of fresh snow. South slopes had a lot of pin wheeling and small natural slides from previous days. Sunday we skied out via “Exit door” as shown on the map, and skied more slopes exposed to the sun. Small sloughing occurred on steeper slopes, and skiing was poor/ very poor once in the trees. Observed lots of surface hoar in the morning around the hut area (~1cm).
