Comments
We dug a pit above the Bear Face cut blocks in the trees, probably 100-200m below the ridge (elevation 1980m). Slope angle was fairly steep, we didn’t have an inclinometer, but we thought at least 35 degrees. Snow depth was 150cm. We did an isolated column and got HCT 25 on a layer down 90cm. Presumably the Dec 4 crust.
Fantastic powder skiing down to rough the trees and cut blocks pretty much to the road.
