Comments
We found 5cm of new snow that was moist below 1650m. Above we found wind affected snow with up to 5cm of dry snow on top. Winds were moderate from the west in the afternoon and some snow was on the move. We saw no avalanches but we did see snowballing on the way up the mountain. We found the facets at the bottom of the snow pack and a strong mid pack of stiffer snow above. The facet layer did react in our snow test, so we are avoiding thinner snow pack areas where that stiffer mid pack is not found.
