Comments
Went to check out some simple terrain around summit creek with the high avy conditions over the weekend. Winds apprx. 60 km/hr at the road, from the south with extensive blowing snow, limited visibility. We got half way up summit creek, slope was heavily wind affected, surface was hard, crusted, lots of snow stripped rocks with intense wind and blowing snow. We decided to cut our losses and made a kicker off a ledge in some nice powder that was shelter from the wind in some mellow terrain.
