Comments

Very deep (~3.5m) snowpack in the north Callaghan. Heinous trailbreaking with ~40cm ski pen. Noticed some storm slab fracturing while skinning up steep slopes but did not propagate. A bit of a sun or warming crust down ~80cm. The snowpack did not want to seem to go anywhere, sloughing was limited. Hard to maintain speed while descending mellow slopes but amazing skiing on steep features.
