Comments
25cm of new snow over the last 3 days. Approach trail through the forest around the head wall was a hard to skin with downed trees not beeing cover. Good travel and turns in the alpine. On and off convective flurries kept things from getting too hot but it was green housing when the sun did pop out. Just enough snow to do the high traverse exit under Mt Inflexible. At 2800m 25 cm of settled storm consisted of sandwich of crusts with wet snow down deep. A few size 0.5 to size 1 wet loose naturals today in the storm snow on all aspects in the alpine. Suspect that the new snow will slough a lot on the next warm day.
