Comments
Incredible early season conditions in the Lake Louise Backcountry today. The reactive wind slab and storm slab interface reported in other areas of the forecast region had bonded well on S/SW facing slopes and minimal natural activity was observed during the course of our day out. Extended column test at 2350 on SW facing slope yielded a result on the storm slab and wind slab interface on the 3rd elbow tap (ECTN 13; 25 cms below the surface of the snowpack). HS (height of snow) @ 2350 was 90cms.
