Comments
It is still a very wintery snowpack up on the Kluane plateau. There were pretty amazing whumpfing sounds and shooting cracks on the plateau but nothing was steep enough to slide. At that point the snowpack was wind slabs sitting over depth hoar. A bit higher the whumpfings diminished as the slabs were thicker and harder. We mostly took our time going down on breakable crust.
