Comments

Skinned up the NE aspect of cloudburst from Chance Creek to a cut block at 850m. Weather stormy, strong winds, 35cm of storm slab on top of 5cm of rain crust on top of faceted snow. Mashed potatoes on top of a dinner plate on top of ball bearings. Rain crust was difficult to break through but there was propagation within layers of the storm slab. Shooting cracks were visible during the skin up. Size 1 avalanche observed on steeper slope, crown wall approx 20cm.
