Observed 2 older slab avalanches, suspect from the last weeks warm temps. Size 2 NE bowl of Birdwood and size 2.5 in bowl north of the Smuts/Fist col(photo). The one off Smuts/Fist was likely triggered by cornice and stepped down to ground with approx 2m crown. Dug a pit on SE aspect 26 degree planar slope 2350m. HS 160cm, surface Hoar up to 10mm, buried wind slabs between 25-65cm sitting on facets CTH 65 RP and BRK.
