Comments
Plan A: Wapta
Plan B: Glacier Circle Cabin and Wheeler
Plan C: Wheeler Party, building sick jumps and Rappelling.
Stayed at Wheeler 26/27th, widespread Avy cycle Wednesday and continuing into Thursday with heavy rain all day in the pass. Evidence of up to size 3 in the Illecillewaet, practice slopes, and up from Perley Rock, Sir Donald had all run. We continued to hear natural avalanches from the Asulkan side through the day, and turned back where the uptrack comes into the first slide path up the Asulkan side.
Played it safe and made the best of the worst conditions!
Till next time!
