SH Around 1700m at NRC

While skiing NRC below the bench today, we observed some fresh surface hoar at the very top of the snowpack around creeks, in small clearings, and everywhere between 1,700 and 1,800m.

We were also able to trigger small slab avalanches by stomping hard on pillows and rolls in the same elevation band. These would be ~40cm deep, and failed on some small (3-5mm) buried surface hoar.
