Comments
Very nice ski conditions in the sunshine today. -18c to begin the day with the temperature only reaching -12c in the shade. Only steep direct solar aspects received damaging sun effects while the rest of the terrain skied today seemed to stay cold. Observation of note was the wind effect; strong winds from all directions took its toll on Sunday night with the low density snow being pushed into stiff slabs on anything exposed on all aspects especially above 1900m. Sheltered locations (especially west) received the least amount of wind effect and yielded some good skiing!. Many ski/skin tracks in Five Mile with most lines of all kinds being skied today.
