though no new activity was observed. The snowpack is setting up like a house of cards waiting for a trigger. Foot penetration is near ground. This is similar from valley bottom to the alpine. A weak base is being gingerly bridged by new storm snow. Time to avoid avalanche terrain. This problem is here for a while and will start to become more reactive with additional load.
