Comments
Very warm temps while in the sun made for very wet snow. Saw a loose wet from the day before (photo), and after crossing under into some trees, a snow bomb from the trees above struck a shallow area around some rocks and set off a similar avalanche to the right. Lots of crust in the shade a few cms thick in some places. Isolated surface hoar growth was seen at the saddle.
