The road is quite bad. You can drive right to the parking lot but it is extremely muddy and rutted. 4x4 with good clearance is necessary to not get stuck.
There is logging work happening on the McCrae FSR, definitely a good idea to be on radio.
There was a bit of a surface crust in wind exposed area, but good skiing with plenty of base anywhere sheltered.
