Comments
Size 2.5 cane down between 5:30-6:30 this morning (Jan 29). Unsure of failure plane or start zone due to limited visibility. Wet slab with heavy entrainment, path ran to lower mid of path over forestry road depositing over 3m in places. North facing and low angle track and runout ranging from 24 degrees to 14 degrees, respectively.
More info to follow once I can see the start zone but HST 50cm with 31cm since Friday, 19cm overnight and 6cm in last 4hrs. Assuming a natural event due to loading and potential lubrication from under snow water source (spring or creek). -1’C air temp at 7:30am @ 650m
