Comments
Found the SE facing slope in this area to be a bit more wind protected giving some decent skiing. Soft Wind slab present (1-10cm thick) on a supportive snowpack underneath. No instabilities during skiing or noted around area during uphill travel. We gave room to thin, rocky outcrops and found the best quality snow in the depressions. Wind during day in this area was light. Wind increased notably at about 15:00 - with moderate to strong from the SW. the wind transported enough snow today to cover up our skin track in the creek bottom.
