Needle to Flatiron

We skied the southern line off Needle and skinned up the ridge on Flatiron. South facing portions of Needle were crusty until we got lower into the trees, where the snow was light and supportive. The skin up Flatiron was slippery with snow sluffing off a bit, but otherwise stable. We skied out through the creek basin to avoid the icy skin track that takes the ridgeline.
