Quick n dirty from the Cariboos today. Alpine temps -1 @1300 hrs at 1950 meters in a shaded aspect. Solar temps much warmer. Shaded slopes stayed nice and cool. Solar aspects showed numerous solar releases to sz1.5 with no slabs pulled. One very small rider triggered .5-1 on 35deg + shaded south aspect on the jan5 interface. No other avalanche activity noticed.
On a shaded south aspect well below ridge line at 1950 meters 205cm, foot pen 25cms. 27cms on top of Jan 5 Surface hoar / facet combo up to 4mm. Dec 15 down 55cms showing old sh/fc to 3mm. Low end of moderate compression test and extended column tests full column results on the Jan 5 with upper end of Hard on the Dec 15 during compression tests. Slop cut numerous small yet stressed slopes at treeline with no results.
Stronger solar affect than anticipated.
Such a fun day!
