Comments
3 days skiing in the Ozalenka Valley. 30cm of faceted snow @ 1300m, difficult travel, approximately 70 cm at 1900 meters near treeline. CTH results on mid November rain crust (down 50cm). Noted two size 1.0 slides that had pulled out of steep, east facing rocky areas on leeward side of ridge, likely down to mid November layer. Heavy faceting around rock areas at all elevations, avoided any peppery rock slopes. Very much a low rockies snowpack.
