Comments
Attempted to skin up to the Sir Donald - Uto col today. Great conditions in the mountains with 30cm low density snow over previous firm surfaces. At the beginning of the final exposed traverse to the col, I triggered a whumpf and we decided to turn back. Not entirely surprising in this thin and faceted piece of terrain but still unnerving.
