Comments
Splitboard touring. No avalanche indications seen up higher, but fresh snow may have covered it up. Lots of strong wind and wind loading in the alpine and some in the upper treeline so we stayed in mellow terrain. A few cornices built up in the area. No whumpfing or cracks where noticed. Mix of sun and cloud all day. Tracks filled in quickly in open areas. Should have taken more data and dug a pit, but the wind was nasty above tree line. Took a snow depth in one of the shallowest spots in little meadow the trees and got 120 cm, with no noticable crusts.
