Comments

drove to bow summit at 10am this morning to take a look. it was 1 degree. raining all the way to bow lake. it likely stayed raining all night above 2400m till about 9am, no snow on the trees. only 3cm on top of a poorly frozen temp/rain crust with dense moist snow beneath. was windy getting colder and started snowing more as we left. evidence of a natural avalanche cycle overnight to 2.5 off steep alpine terrain along the highway. no slabs noted with limited visibility. slides looked to be loose wets, some ran close to tree line and looked as you would expect for this time of year with the weather... muddy streaks.
