Comments

Significant wind from the north last night has created very firm or slabby snow in all open treeline and alpine features in White Pass. We dug in a wind loaded lee feature with a 45cm thick wind slab and our result showed this slab had the potential to propagate and produce an avalanche if triggered. The best riding was in sheltered areas such as lower tree line glades and low angle alpine gullies.
