Went to look at Tryst today but elected to not continue after witnessing pinwheeling and a rapid temperature spike at the avalanche paths on the way up. Lots of surface hoar below treeline.
Saw evidence of cornice collapses and resulting avalanches on the E face of Snow Peak and S face of Nestor.
-13 at the car at 08.45 and -1 at 2050m at 09.45.
