Comments
Toured up almost to Helen lake and then went back down on Helen shoulder. Sunny in the morning then the snow moved in about 1 pm. Poor visibility and light snow for the rest of the afternoon.
Up towards Helen lake, snow was supportive and no signs of instability. We stayed away from convex slopes. Looked like lots of wind loading on opposite side of the valley (Dolomite). Skiing down the shoulder in the trees was powder with occasional crusty areas. Two other groups of 5-6 people in the area.
