Today we went riding at the Microwave. Conditions were way better than the last time we were there with about 85 cm of snow at 1500 m. There is large 15 mm surface hoar growing and another layer of 10mm surface hoar buried 40 cm down. We didn't see any new avalanches today but the surface hoar down 40 cm is a concern especially in areas with additional snow loading.
