Comments

Very touchy conditions BTL, Alpine, subalpine. High winds and cold in alpine. Pit at the base of a convex slope showed storm snow down 15 cm broke away easily on previous storm layer. This weakness was observed on all slopes, all elevations that were skied. Easily triggered a minor sluff in open trees on a 50 degree slope. Skier shot, just after photo taken, the ski cut released a fast moving sluff that shot into a terrain trap on the descent to the swamp. Air temperature was warm at the time. Numerous other naturals from midday the day earlier.
