Comments

Good ride today with no obvious signs of cracking or whumping. Snow base was not measured but was estimated in the range of 180 plus cm from digging out machines, with a hard crust half way down. However, significant evidence of avalanche activity was noted on the steeper slopes in the area. Winds were very strong with lots of drifting. The areas which slide were definitely reloading due to wind activity. Caution was exercised in avoiding the larger slopes and terrain trap areas.
