Comments
Went to dig a pit outside sunshine to see the reactivity of persistent layer and go for a mellow ski. Heard notable whumpfs in mellow treed terrain on the way up to our dig spot. Snow skied like hot pow on south/se slopes. Wind effect was evident in subalpine/ treeline exposed area(3-15 cms of 4f) Got results on test (see snowpack tab). Top 3-5 became moist by 2 pm on southerly slopes. Light winds from the south /south west , scattered skied with intense solar rad when it poked out. Would recommend mellow slopes until SPAW/ avalanche conditions improve.
