• Mellow slopes
• Open trees
• Steep slopes
• Sunny slopes

The day was:

After turning around from icy conditions on the Comox lake main, we headed over to Mount Cameron.

A big variety of conditions can be found; old tracks are quite solid, some soft faceted powder can be found, and styrofoamy wind pressed firm snow. In sheltered areas there is very large surface hoar. Turns on steep slopes on North aspects will treat you to a surface stuff of facets and surface hoar tinkling and dancing down the hill.

With a little careful planning there are great ski turns still to be found.
